If there is one item I could wear all the time, it would probably be a black (p)leather motorcycle jacket. They are timeless and classic; motorcycle jackets date back all the way to 1920s when they were worn by pilots during the War World I. However, it was Marlon Brando that made the leather motorcycle jacket iconic when he wore it in his 1953 movie “The Wild One.” Motorcycle jacket became associated with speed and adventure, and many Hollywood icons like James Dean, Brigitte Bardot, and Paul Newman made it a part of their everyday wardrobe.
- Dress it up: My favorite way to wear a leather jacket is to combine it with a long maxi dress. This look is glamorous, edgy and effortless, and it works well for both day and night.
- Dress it down: One of the easiest ways to wear a leather motorcycle jacket is to add jeans and pair of converse. I love this timeless look and how flattering it is for almost all ages and sizes.
- Add motorcycle jacket to your LBD for a night out: I love wearing my motorcycle jacket with a little black dress. I have many styles of LBDs in my closet, and a motorcycle jacket works equally well with all of them!
- Layer it over a sweater: during cold weather, I like to wear my motorcycle jacket with a thick sweater underneath. I would suggest pairing up a short motorcycle jacket with a long sweater for a slimming effect.
Wishing you a wonderful day!
