Sexy and Hot Mini Bikinis for Private and Adult Functions

Mini bikinis, also known as micro bikinis, are swimsuits that cover a minimal amount of skin.

They are very rarely worn in public, and are worn mostly for private or adult functions. Mini bikinis are available in a variety of styles and level of coverage, and can be easily purchased from specialty shops or adult stores. The mini bikini takes the two-piece swimsuit to the extreme, making detractors wonder why wearers bother to wear anything at all. Serious criticism suggests that mini bikinis are indecent to wear publicly, and wearer’s may find themselves cited for indecent exposure depending on local law.

Mini bikinis are not for the faint of heart nor the self-conscious. The purpose of these garments is to expose as much of the body as possible, so there is no way to hide any perceived body flaws. Before you go out in public wearing a micro bikini, be certain you are confident in how you look and feel good wearing the swimsuit. Since you won’t be covered by much, you at least should carry a good sheen of confidence.

Mini bikinis are available in a variety of styles, fabrics and levels of opacity. Brazilian minis tend to provide the most coverage, sitting below the hip bone and providing partial coverage of your backside. Tops for these bikinis are most often triangle, halter, or bandeau styles and typically cover much less of your chest than a typical bikini top.

For those who are truly daring, a thong or one-string mini may be the only way to go. Thong bottoms cover a small patch in front, and are typically a string around the hips and across the back. One-strings are certainly the closest you can come to total nudity, offering no coverage whatsoever besides one thick string or rope of fabric.
In terms of fabric, because of the provocative nature of these swimsuits, many minis are offered in sheer or transparent fabrics. Otherwise, most mini bikinis come in a variety of patterns and colors. Bold color choices seem especially popular, since anyone wearing a micro bikini is clearly trying to make a noticeable fashion statement.

If you are comfortable with your body and the level of exposure you will have in the bikini, they may be well worth a try. Be careful regarding local exposure laws, and even where legal, take care to consider the audience to your bold display. For private use or adults-only parties however, women may find mini bikinis fun, exciting, and even comfortable to wear.

Spring Layered Look

By Amra B.

Lincoln center is one of the most beautiful places in New York City and I often go there for coffee or lunch. This is also the place where New York City Fashion Week is held, and after visiting this place one may not be the least bit surprised; there is beautiful architecture, art, and restaurants.  If you are into great independent movies as I am, there is a cinema dedicate only to award winning foreign, old Hollywood, and latest American independent movies.

It has been quite cold in New York City, so once again I decided on a layered look; lately, I have been very into layering and find it to be very easy, chic, and practical. I am also loving the lighter colors for spring; light denim is a great refreshing substitute for dark jeans I wore all winter long. I managed to dust off my Christian Louboutins I found in the back of my closet and dress them down for a day look. I am usually not the one to wear super high heels during the day, but felt like the lunch in Lincoln Center was the perfect occasion.

Wishing you a marvelous day!

East Coast Style-New York City

By Elma B.

Previously, we wrote a post on the East Coast v. West Coast style so I wanted to take it further by giving you an inside scoop on the East Coast style since I am living in New York City.

Me

While I am not wildly obsessed with fashion, fashion, indeed, is a part of my daily life. The preppy American look, portrayed well through Gossip Girl's character Blair Waldorf, probably epitomizes the over the top East Coast style. The more typical East Coast style and the laid back version would be Revenge's Emily Thorne (the show takes place on the beaches of the Hamptons). While I do fancy the preppy style, I still remain reluctant to pigeonhole myself as a die hard fan of any one style.

There you have it fashionistas, a bit about New York, myself, and the East Coast style. Below, to match the mood of my post, you will see photos of my own version of the preppy East Coast style. How would you describe your style? Leave me a comment, love hearing from you! Xoxo.

Which Is Your Favorite Fashion City: New York, Paris or London?

By Elma B.

I have been living in New York City for about a year now, and the city is incredible, full of energy and young ambitious individuals. I wanted to talk about the style specific to this city because the fashion scene here has its own unique imprint in comparison to London and Paris (both cities which I have had the privilege of inhabiting).

New York, London, or Paris--
Which is Your Favorite Fashion Mecca?

The fashionistas are definitely not as bold in their everyday fashion choices as they are in London. New York is more subdued than London; in London, I saw the edgiest pieces on Oxford Street and in Camden. Here, even the young and upbeat crowds of Soho and Meat Packing District cannot compare. However, the Parisians are even more understated in their fashion choices than New Yorkers. The colors and the cuts in Paris have been reduced to bare minimalism. Paris may as well be synonymous with "all natural" look; it is more about how you wear the clothes than what exactly you are wearing, it's about your confidence and attitude.

There you have it fashionistas a bit about my experience and outlook on the fashion scenes in each of the three fashion meccas in the world. As for my favorite fashion city...hmm, not making any commitments yet ;) Below you will see my own fashion choices photographed on a rooftop in New York City. Which one is your favorite fashion destination? Leave me a comment, love hearing from you! Xoxo!

Elegant Floral Print Evening Gown Jovani Design
There are many evening dress patterns that you will see people wearing. But not all of them are in fashion, or suitable for you. You so don't want to get caught wearing last season’s floral maxi dress to a chic party, do you? So, to be stylish and sophisticated, you need to wear evening dress styles that all major designers are sending their fashion models in. That is not to say, that you should blindly follow any fashion trends. You should have your own personal style and only wear dresses that flatter your body type.

Evening dress patterns that is very hot right now, but which only a woman with a toned body can carry off, is body con dresses. One of the must-have evening dress patterns that a woman with most body shapes can wear is the Grecian drape dress. The Grecian drape dress is very 'in' at this moment and is seen on Hollywood stars at red carpet events.

Modern Glamour--How to Get the Look

By Elma B.

I am a huge fan of elegance and glamour, and believe that you do not have to show a lot of skin to feel and be beautiful. While I am a fan of the Old Hollywood glamour, I realize a modern adaptation is necessary as we do not live in the golden age of Hollywood. Below are some styling tips on how to look (and feel) fabulous and glamorous...

Tips: How to be a Modern Day Glamazon

Me

1. Loose fitting clothes: As I have mentioned in my previous blog posts, always, always buy clothing that is at least one size bigger than your size. This will ensure an elegant look and will even make you appear slimmer. Bulging love handles do not suit anyone!

2. Moderate makeup: Dramatic lips or eyes, take your pick. Make sure that you do not do both. Tip: you know your best facial features, so focus on emphasizing those. Below, I am wearing a combination of ultra dark maroon and plumb lipsticks from my favorite Italian brand KIKO.

3. Dazzling hat: Hats come in various shape and sizes, make sure to pick a few that best suit your face shape. I would visit a local consignment store to find a few gems, i.e., authentic pieces.

4. Statement jewelry: Below, I am wearing matching emerald like rings from H&M and a handmade necklace from my best friend. When picking out jewelry, I would look for pieces that really stand out because of their shape and design.

5. Elegant stilettos: Black stilettos will go a long way. You can wear them a million times with a million different outfits. Mine have studs on them so that adds a bit of chaos. Styling tip: I would suggest wearing stilettos with oversized clothing to balance shape and cuts.

There you have it fashionistas--how to get the modern glamour look. What's your favorite pieces that makes you feel "oh so glamorous?" Leave me a comment below, love hearing form you! Until next time, xoxo from New York City!

Pink Purse

By Amra B.

I am eager for spring to arrive and have already started searching for spring pieces. Lately, I am into everything neutral and items that you can wear many times over. I am also becoming a big fan of lighter colors and am trying to leave my black-on-black wardrobe habits for more brighter spring pieces. The white overalls I wore below are my new obsession and I have been wearing them almost every day since I got them. Stretchy-soft-cotton is something I insist on now; natural fabrics should not be a luxury but instead a necessity. I also felt compelled to change my hair color; it is now brown with ashy highlights (I know you can't see it that well on the photos below, but I promise to post more photos later so stay tuned). I suppose that this is an overall season of change for me, but than again, isn't that what spring is all about?
