Why I Look Forward To the Fall

By Amra B.

I am a summer baby, I was born in July and sun is my ruling planet (I am a Leo). Accordingly, I loathe the idea of the summer ending and trying to embrace the new season almost seems unnatural.  However, the thought of never witnessing another Halloween or eating pumpkin pie also seems unbearable. It is those beautiful shades of yellow and red that had made me witness the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen. Could fall possibly be another favorite season?

It is in fall that I get to dig out my favorite pair of boots and experiment with my style. Fall is the only time I can wear boots with bear legs; so trivial you may think, but another little thing that makes such a big difference for me. I also get to pull out my favorite pair of jeans that has been stashed somewhere the entire summer just waiting to be displayed. I then remember just how great they look with a simply button down or a cozy sweater.

It is in fall that I substitute my tea with some freshly made hot cocoa. I bake cinnamon deserts and let the fragrance fill out the room. If I am looking to relax, I simply get some amazing cinnamon candles and light them before cozying up with a book in the evening. I also love to run to the Plaza Hotel for some amazing smores, but if I am out camping somewhere, I try and make my own with some fine dark chocolate.

Bring on the caramel apples and crisp leaves! Bring on the fall!

What Is the Best Time to Exercise?

By Sarah Baker

Is There a Best Time to Exercise?

When is the best time to exercise? Is there a best time? Does it really matter? After having difficulties developing a consistent exercise routine, these are questions I was determined to find the answers to.

There are three major times during the day that you can exercise. Morning, afternoon (lunch time), and evening. I’m going to break down these times to figure out which, if any, offers a better exercise.

Why Exercise In the Morning:

If you are a morning person, unlike me, this is definitely a great time for you to do your exercise! If you wake up filled with energy, use that energy to get your day started on the right foot and get active. This is also a good time to exercise if you have problems with consistency in your workout routine. If the first thing that you do every morning is exercise, it’s hard for you to forget or run out of time. Working out in the morning can also rev up your metabolism and doing an easy workout can have added benefits because in the morning your stomach is empty. There are also studies that have shown that if you exercise in the morning, it offers you a better night sleep.

My best friend’s husband swears that working out in the morning helps him to sleep better. Just remember that if you do plan on working out in the morning, don’t eat a heavy meal, it’ll make you sick. Eat something light so you don’t pass out but don’t get sick either. Also, give yourself some extra time for a warm up. Your body temperature is lower so it will take longer for all your muscles and joints to wake up and avoid injury.

Why Exercise In the Afternoon:

Exercising in the afternoon or at lunch time is probably best for you if you are neither a morning person nor a night owl, like me. Working out on your lunch break offers you a couple of benefits. It can help you to relax if you are stressed or overwhelmed at the office because of the endorphins that you release when you exercise. It also offers you other people to work out with. If you don’t like working out alone, find an office buddy to do it with you, there are always plenty of people to find at the office. Just remember that if you are going to exercise on your lunch hour, always eat after.

Why Exercise In the Evening:

If you are not a morning person and more of and night owl or offer more productivity at night, than working out in the evening is probably the right time for you. In the evening, you are not fighting your alarm clock to wake up earlier than normal to squeeze in that workout. In the evenings, your body temperature is higher, therefore you muscles and joints are more adaptable for exercise and you are less prone to injury. You also may have more energy in the evenings because you’ve been awake for longer, this can also result in less energy if you have had a busy day. An evening exercise is better if you plan on running, biking, or swimming because your strength and endurance are greater later in the day. Just remember not to exercise too close to bedtime, otherwise it can throw off your melatonin levels and cause sleepless nights.

What it comes down to is opinion and how your body works. It all depends on the type of person you are and when is the best time for you. Don’t know when is best for you? Try them all out. For a few weeks at a time, exercise in the morning, then try afternoon, then try evening. Which on gave you more energy? Which on made you feel the best? That time is the best time for you. For me, it’s probably the afternoon/lunch time hour. This allows me to not have to wake up early and also takes my “I’m tired” and “I just ran out of time” excuses away.

Besides just figuring out when you exercise the best, you need to figure out where you do it best, what kind of exercise you prefer, and if you want to go solo or need a buddy. All of these go hand in hand to find your best workout scenario. The main thing is to be consistent, get in to a routine, and be active.

Reduce The Amount Of Fat On Your Upper Thighs Using Cellulite Leggings

Cellulite leggings are shapewear that can be worn alone as clothing, or beneath it, and are designed to reduce the amount of fat present along the abdomen, hips, and thighs.

This type of clothing works both immediately and over a long period of time. It supposedly works by massaging those fat stores and promoting epidermal circulation, so that fat is gradually removed on a daily and weekly basis. Results from wearing cellulite leggings may vary by wearer and their particular body makeup. Wearers should consider that most doctors and fitness experts stress that diet and exercise are the most effective ways to get rid of cellulite when purchasing cellulite leggings.

The purpose of cellulite leggings is to smooth the dimpled appearance of the adipose tissues, while simultaneously working to reduce the amount of fat stored in the trouble areas of the body. These leggings are typically made from compression materials that push surface fat inwards and redistribute it. The fat no longer puckers in certain areas and instead floats in one layer below the skin. The thick, constrictive layer of the legging allows it to fulfill its primary purpose by creating smooth lines around the hips and thighs that are free of unsightly bulges.

The material used in the construction of the cellulite leggings is comprised of individual ridges that are connected by seamed panels. This type of panel construction allows the ridges to flow over each part of the body, whether the abdomen, hips, or thighs, in the natural direction of the fat. This reduces the likelihood of the appearance of bulges beneath clothing. The ridges reduce the surface area of the material that receives constriction, and creates a uniform pressure along the entire surface of the skin. Panty lines, fat rolls, dimples, and thigh bulges are eliminated.

These cellulite leggings are available for purchase at local hosiery stores and through Internet ordering. They may be worn beneath clothing or as an individual piece alone, paired with a top. Leggings are designed to stop at the mid-thigh and function as shorts, or continue down to the calf or the ankle to be worn as capris and pants. They may be purchased in a wide variety of colors, including black, brown, and basic nude.

Useful Guides To Choose The Best Plus Size Boots

In order to choose the best plus size boots, you should consider the style of boots you want and what size you need.

Plus size boots models
There is a large selection of plus size boots available, and choosing between them will be basically the same as choosing regular sized boots. There are a few basic categories, such as calf height and material that can help you begin to narrow down the choices in style. A number of sizes plus size boots are available, and you will also have to determine which size is right for you.

The first thing to consider when shopping for your boots is the style you are looking for. Plus size boots can be found in as many trendy styles as any other boots, and you will likely have many options to choose from. In order to help narrow down the selection, decide on the calf height of your boots. Boots range in height from small ankle booties to above the knee and thigh-high choices.

Once you have decided on the calf-height, think about what heel height you would like. Plus size boots can have soles that are completely flat, have wedge heels, or high stiletto heels. Picking one will put you one step closer to finding your plus size boots. Another consideration is the material the boots are made of. Leather, suede, and other man-made materials are often used to make boots. Think about where you intend to wear your boots and how durable you need the material to be as you are looking at the available options.

After finding the right style of plus size boots, you will need to find the right size. Calf width generally increases in proportion to shoe size, and any boot labeled "plus size" or "wide calf" should have a little more width than the normal proportions would call for. Some manufacturers that make plus size boots also sell the same style in a medium width or extra wide width. Look at size charts to help you determine the difference between the available widths from each brand, as they may all have different standards and options.

Top 10 Fall Fashion Trends of 2020

By Kati Miller

This season is all about modernizing the sixties, bigger coats, sheer fabrics, and bold colors! Prepare to battle the winter in style with Club Fashionista’s top 10 trends of Fall 2020!

Top 10 Trends For Fall 2020:

10. Sporty

This is a rather comfortable season as designers across the globe included a few sporty assembles in their collections; Fendi and Miu Miu, among others, were obvious fans of this trend. Whether you pair fleece and mesh fabrics with red, blue or black, you are sure to have a winning look!

9. Crop Tops

Crop Tops are making their way down the list this season, we didn’t see as much of it as we would have liked on the runway; nevertheless, the crop top is still here in a very big way so don’t toss them just yet! Chanel is definitely still in love with the look as well as Dolce & Gabanna; celebrities and bloggers across the world are continuing to rave about the crop top and it is very much available in most retail stores such as Top Shop and Forever 21.

8. All Over Knits

Knits are very in, especially all over knits. I’m in love with this trend; it’s so comfortable yet so chic. Whether you’re vibing off the looks of Chanel or Marc Jacobs, stick to neutral tones and relatively fitted pieces to ensure a stylish outfit.

7. Clean Lines and Tailoring

Louis Vuitton, as well as myself, absolutely love the clean line trend. Whether you couple clean lines with jackets, suits, pants, or dresses, you are sure to have a stylish, fresh and expensive look.

6. Fairytale

The whimsical look was seen making its way down the runway this season in a very big way! Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen and Valentino have all been inspired by soft looks this season, so don’t be afraid to be dreamy and imaginative this fall with delicate fabrics, empire waists, and flowy dresses!

5. Color

It’s all about pastels, reds and splashes of gold and neon this season! Prada showed a really neat gold and red theme, Gucci stuck with some beautiful pastels, and Valentino went crazy for sixties themed neon! Try pairing gold and red for a bold statement and be sure not to get too wild with the neon as it should be used relatively sparingly, although Valentino went absolutely cray cray with sixties color, pairing his colored coats and dresses with black and white.

4. Sixties

The sixties are back! Trapeze dresses, miniskirts, wild patterns, and patent Mary-Janes were taking over the runway this season; even designers who aren’t fans of vintage prints were inspired by the feminine and fun shapes the sixties were known for. You could even try matching a sixties shape with neutrals and a splash of neon for a fun look!

3. FAUX-fur

Always a staple in fall/winter wardrobes, this year is no exception; fur is everywhere! This time around, color blocking, reds, and dramatic shapes are all the rage. Bright colors not your thing? Some designers have stuck to a major black and white theme this season; also, try optical monochrome prints for all of your cover-up needs to give yourself a unique take on traditional the black and white. Fashionistas, remember it is not fashionable to support animal torture and that is why we ALWAYS highly encourage you to opt out for faux-fur. Try ZARA for faux-fur. Here's why

2. Sheer and Lingerie Inspired Looks

This is THE look this season; designers loved pairing sheer textures and dark colors with lingerie. Dolce and Gabbana were big fans of this look, pairing lacy dresses and tops with high waist under garments. Fashion icon Rihanna has been obsessed with this look lately and Cara Delevingne rocked a gorgeous see through and lingerie Burberry dress at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards this September.

1. Bigger and Longer Coats

Coats, coats and more coats made every which way! Top fashion influencers such as Dolce and Gabbana, Gucci, Celine, Alexander McQueen, and Karl Lagerfeld are raving about all sorts of ways to cover yourself with style this season and have noticeably lengthened and thickened the looks. Everything from duvet inspired coats, rain coats, wraps, capes, ponchos, and even strait jackets flooded runways all over the world! Designers have been playing with textures, colors, prints and shapes with coats this season and perhaps the most popular fabric for coats this season would have to be shearling; believe it or not, this unconventional choice has definitely made a comeback.

And there you have it! The top 10 Fall fashion trends of 2020 are sure to inspire some change in your wardrobe this season, so grab some cocoon shaped coats, patent Mary Janes and some daring sheer styles and paint the town red…or gold!
